This birthday is extra special. Despite 2016 being a year of twists and turns with Brexit and Donald Trump becoming President of America, Envision enjoyed their best ever year in the run up to our 13th birthday.
Set up in April 2004, Envision Training is a true Nottingham success story. Founded and run by women in a traditionally male-dominated environment, namely IT training, Julie Picker worked tirelessly to demonstrate that women could advise on, and deliver, truly exceptional training.
Envision’s first client, David Wilson Homes, remains a valued customer today. Over 13 years they have built a strong client base with companies such as Boots, Balfour Beatty and Hozelock.
Nowadays the Envision portfolio covers every discipline of training, and we have over 1000 courses to offer.
We believe that our client's needs should be put first. That means putting quality and service ahead of profit. Our buying power as experts means that we get really low prices from our suppliers, and rather than pocket this profit, we pass these savings onto our customers. So if you see an Envision Training course compared with one of the 'big' providers, Envision will give you the same course, the same location, the same trainer... but with a much lower price tag. This combination of quality, service and low prices has been exactly what our clients needed in tricky times.
Over the years we have placed over 11,000 delegates on training courses. All of our Account Managers are CIPD qualified, so we have a fantastic reputation in the training arena. Our customers and suppliers trust us, it's as simple as that. And this trust means we get preferential rates on courses.
In fact we are so confident in our training advice and delivery that we offer a 100% money back guarantee if the training doesn't hit the spot!
After many years in Recruitment Consultancy, Julie Picker, Owner and Managing Director explains the reason for starting Envision Training.
“After working as a recruitment consultant for many years, I realised that businesses were spending thousands on finding new employees, when they had talent that they could harness of their own. The benefit of training their own internal talent would ultimately cut down on the recruitment spend and keep staff retention by developing and motivating the existing employees, ensuring a good place to work".
We offer multi-discipline training, on public scheduled courses as well as bespoke courses delivered on-site.
Envision are also one of the few UK companies who offer insurance and underwriting training services, offering a managed learning and development service to Lloyd’s of London Syndicates such as Chaucer, Advent and Antares, along with global investment companies Hermes and Henderson.
Definitely winning our first big client, David Wilson Homes, and seeing our size grow from just 2 employees in a small office to now employing 10 people in larger premises, with a turnover of more than £1 million is just fantastic.
The highlight of 2016 was when our niche expertise in Insurance and Underwriting training caught the eye of the Lloyds Market Association and Envision were invited to deliver a motivational workshop at the prestigious Lloyd’s Learning Week entitled ‘Taking Charge of your Career Success’. Attended by 50 of the country’s most promising underwriting talent, the event was enjoyed by all.
With some exciting business submissions in the pipeline, Envision Training are hoping to have acquired two more major managed service contracts in the next six months, and are also looking to invest in a new website which will allow real time viewing of training opportunities, enabling even greater discounts for customers.
