In this one-day practical training course you will learn ways of reframing, (re)defining and reviewing problems so that you can focus on solutions and come to a balanced decision about action to take.

To enable managers to engage in successful performance management discussions 

You will learn to:

  • Apply a performance management process 
  • Prepare for a successful performance management conversation
  • Engage in hindsight conversations 
  • Ask targeted questions
  • Use appropriate listening techniques, including reflection and summarising 
  • Provide motivating feedback 
  • Write and agree SMART business and development goals 
  • Maximising the 3 E’s of Development
  • Receiving feedback
  • Agreeing a GAME plan to ensure follow through 

Managers will be asked to bring along business and development goals for team members so that they can practice goal setting
